Exciting News: Drew Starkey Becomes the New Face of Dior!
In an intriguing turn of events, Drew Starkey, known for his role in the hit series "Outer Banks," has officially been appointed as a brand ambassador for Dior, following in the footsteps of Jonathan Anderson. This development marks a significant milestone in Starkey's career and highlights Dior's ongoing commitment to innovative partnerships.
Previously featured in the spring 2025 campaign for Loewe, Starkey was among the star-studded guests who showed up to support Anderson during his debut collection presentation for Dior in June. Now, as the brand prepares for Anderson's second menswear showcase set for Wednesday, they have named Starkey their fourth new male ambassador this month.
The connection between Starkey and Anderson was born on the set of Luca Guadagnino’s upcoming film "Queer," where Starkey stars alongside Daniel Craig. Anderson, serving as the costume designer for the film, expressed his immediate admiration for Starkey’s talent. "Drew brings a quiet intensity that feels raw, elegant, and deeply human," Anderson noted in an exclusive statement shared with WWD. "There is a unique honesty to his presence, and a beauty in how he embraces vulnerability without embellishment. I am excited about our collaboration in this fresh role."
Dior praised Starkey for his "risk-taking, charisma, and integrity," attributes that align perfectly with the brand's image. In addition to his work on the final season of "Outer Banks," Starkey is poised to appear in Adam Wingard’s action thriller "Onslaught" and is also involved in Jeff Nichols' supernatural horror film "King Snake," alongside stars like Margaret Qualley and Michael Shannon.
Expressing his enthusiasm about joining the Dior family, Starkey remarked, "I am incredibly grateful for this partnership. Jonathan Anderson's vision beautifully balances tradition with modern design innovation. His dedication to craftsmanship has always inspired me. It is a profound honor to collaborate with a brand that epitomizes elegance and timelessness."
Notably, unlike Josh O’Connor, another former Loewe model who has transitioned to Dior, Starkey has yet to make a red carpet appearance in Dior attire.
