In a chilling incident that has shaken the community, a mother's Christmas Eve turned into a living nightmare. Gunshots rang out through her front door, critically injuring her while her one-year-old son was present in the house. The shocking event unfolded on Cronin Street in Peckham, South London, between 22:30 and 23:00 GMT, leaving the entire neighborhood in a state of unease.
The Metropolitan Police reported that two male suspects, dressed in dark clothing, fired seven shots at the mother's residence. One of the suspects wore a grey hoodie and was believed to have been carrying a gun. The other wore a dark hoodie. The woman, aged 21, was rushed to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and remains in critical care over the festive period, still receiving treatment on the ward.
Miraculously, her son was not harmed during the attack. The police are appealing for witnesses, particularly those who were in the vicinity of Cronin Street, Commercial Way, or Moody Road between 21:45 and 23:45 on Wednesday, December 24th.
